Today, I released a set of nesting heart cutters you can see HERE. I’m taking the opportunity to also highlight some of my favorite The Sugar Art products, specifically Wedding Gold (now replaced by Golden Halo) and Nu Silver, my two most commonly used products in addition to White DiamonDust. Be sure to visit their website directly to purchase a huge selection of other colors that I will not be stocking! All of the products mentioned by The Sugar Art are 100% edible (unlike highlighter, see a great post by Corianne HERE)!
I designed this following set using each size of our heart cutter set.
The largest black/pink heart is edged (painted directly on the naked cookie base) using Wedding Gold (now replaced by Golden Halo) mixed with Everclear — Be sure to check out my Instagram highlights (tips/tricks) to see the consistency to which I mix my “paste”. The blue rose stenciled cookie right underneath it has the same technique, but using Nu Silver instead!
The following photos show you what Wedding Gold (now replaced by Golden Halo) and Nu Silver look like when mixed with Everclear and fed through an airbrush.
A video definitely captures the beauty and sheen better:
Other products used for this project:
- striped black/white/ pink rosette stencil set from Stencibelle
- blue rose stencil set from Killer Zebras
- gold filigree/silver stencil from 2T Stencils
- roses are fondant and made with molds from Inspired To Taste
(Make sure you visit my RESOURCE blog post for so much more info on where I purchase my tools & products.)
I hope that gives you a better idea of how versatile these cutters AND products can be, and got some ideas for your future projects. You can check them all out in my SHOP, and browse a much bigger selection of The Sugar Art product on their website. Got questions? Comments? Leave them for me below!
